Bloom was founded in 2014 in Los Angeles by a team of immigrants and BIPOC entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity to elevate cannabis extraction beyond the crude distillates dominating the market. From the start, their focus was on preserving what makes each cultivar unique rather than stripping it down to pure THC.

In 2015, Bloom pioneered molecular distillation for cannabis — a technique borrowed from the fragrance and essential oil industries. A year later, they introduced the first enclosed single-use vape pen, setting a new standard for convenience and discretion. These weren’t gimmicks; they were genuine innovations that the rest of the industry eventually adopted.

What Makes Bloom Different

Solventless Extraction

Bloom’s extraction process preserves approximately 95% of the plant’s original terpene profile — around 200 individual terpenes. Most vape brands use hydrocarbon extraction that destroys the majority of these compounds, then add botanical terpenes back in. Bloom skips the destruction step entirely.

True-to-Flower Profiles

Because so many terpenes survive extraction, Bloom carts taste remarkably close to smoking the actual flower. Each strain has a distinct, recognizable profile rather than the generic “vape taste” that plagues cheaper cartridges.
