Yerba Buena is the licensed cannabis dispensary on the neighborhood’s doorstep, at 292 Atlantic Avenue at the corner of Smith Street, right where the Heights meets Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill. We’re licensed by New York State (OCM-CAURD-24-000167), open seven days a week, and about eight minutes from Borough Hall. Order online for same-day pickup or stop in on your next walk down Atlantic.
How do I get to Yerba Buena from Brooklyn Heights?
Atlantic Avenue is Brooklyn Heights’ southern border, so for most of the neighborhood we’re simply the end of a short walk.
- On foot: from Court Street, head east on Atlantic past the boutiques and antique shops to Smith Street, about eight to ten minutes from the heart of the Heights. From the Promenade’s southern end, Columbia Place or Hicks Street brings you down to Atlantic in 12 to 15 minutes.
- By subway: Borough Hall (2, 3, 4, 5, R) is about eight minutes away on foot; Clark St (2, 3) about 13. Coming home on the F or G, hop off at Bergen St and we’re five minutes up Smith Street.
- By Citi Bike: docks on Court Street and along Atlantic Avenue put you steps from our corner.
- By car or rideshare: drivers know the corner of Atlantic and Smith well, but in the Heights, walking usually wins.
What can I buy at Yerba Buena?
We keep the menu curated rather than crowded, so you’re choosing by effect and flavor, not guesswork. Heights neighbors come in most for our flower, edibles, pre-rolls, and vaporizers: New York cultivators like Hudson Cannabis on the flower shelf, Wyld, Camino, and 1906 in the edibles case, plus tinctures and topicals for wellness-minded routines. Check today’s offers before you head over. Prices include tax, so what you see on the menu is what you pay.
Where You Can Actually Consume
A practical note for Heights neighbors, since the prettiest spots in the neighborhood are parks: New York allows cannabis smoking anywhere tobacco smoking is allowed, which rules out the Promenade, Fruit Street Sitting Area, and other city parks. Most neighbors keep flower for home and bring edibles or cannabis beverages to picnics and golden-hour outings instead, which is part of why our edibles case gets so much Heights traffic. If you’re new to edibles, start at 2.5 to 5 mg and give it 90 minutes before judging; our budtenders will walk you through brands like Wyld and 1906 that make precise low doses easy.
Made for Heights Evenings
Brooklyn Heights does quiet luxury better than almost anywhere, and the right product fits the neighborhood’s pace. A low-dose edible before golden hour on the Promenade, a pre-roll picked up on the walk home from dinner on Montague Street, or a tincture for slow Sunday mornings in the brownstone. If you’re headed to an event at the Center for Brooklyn History, order ahead and collect your bag on the way.
We’re a minority-owned, women-owned, family-operated boutique, founded by Diógenes and Doralyn Brito. The shop is bright, calm, and judgment-free, whether you’re a longtime enthusiast or asking your first questions.
