Kate Miller and Anna Duckworth founded Miss Grass in 2017 in Venice, California, but they didnโ€™t start with products. They started with content, conversation, and community. Through editorial work, events, and a curated newsletter, they built a loyal audience of cannabis-curious and cannabis-experienced women who were underserved by the bro-heavy branding that dominated the market.

When they finally launched products, the audience was already there. Miss Grass introduced effect-based pre-rolls with names like Fast Times (for energy and creativity), Quiet Times (for winding down), and All Times (for everyday use). The naming convention immediately communicated what the product would do without requiring consumers to decode strain genetics or terpene charts.
